Brick TeeVee is a preview of the Sunday Talking Head Shows beamed across America by Corporate Media, plus some good progressive radio and who will be on which show. The Brick TeeVee crew took a collective breath when the US Senate chose to "push back an overhaul of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) until after lawmakers return in July" thanks in no small measure to Senator Russ Feingold. “It’s a capitulation,” said Feingold, who argues that Democrats have allowed themselves to be intimidated by the “fear approach of the administration.” We applaud Senator Feingold and Senator Dodd for holding out for the Fourth Amendment! It's not too late, folks! The ACLU is fighting back with a coalition called "STRANGE BEDFELLOWS". Another Surrogate Sunday on Brick TeeVee

So, with no further ado, I present to you This Week's Brick TeeVee entry!

Presidential Politics remain front and center for the bobbleheads this Sunday. Plenty of people to throw bricks at! The Tim-less Meet the Press will have a "debate" between LINDSEY GRAHAM and JOE BIDEN, hosted by anchor BRIAN WILLIAMS. Then, Face the Bob will let CARLY FIORINA and BILL RICHARDSON battle it out. This Snuffagopolis talks oil and energy with KAY BAILY HUTCHINSON and ED MARKEY. Not to be outdone, U-Boat Captain Blizter features a 3x3 tag-team steel cage matchup between R's and D's. Fake News gets a matchup of toms with TOM DASCHLE and TOM "Color Code" RIDGE. If you don't know what "plumpynut" is then tune in 60 Minutes. You should then switch on that internet radio for an interview with VINCE BUGLIOSI on Ring of Fire Radio. There should be discussion of the "new" FISA Bill "compromise" that passed the US House 293-129 (find how your congresscritter voted HERE - H.R. 6304). Heads expoded all over the internets when Presumtive Candidate Obama said "So I support the compromise". Less than a day later, Obama proclaimed "I will work in the Senate to remove this provision so that we can seek full accountability for past offenses" (CBS News). Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-MilqueToast-Nev., however, said that he may schedule a separate vote on stripping immunity from the bill, although he expressed pessimism about its success. "Probably we can't take that out of the bill, but I'm going to try." Now THAT's some INSPIRING words there, Harry! Nothing like letting the principles of the 4th Amendment just go up in smoke. The ACLU called the vote "Christmas morning at the White House" and concluded, "The House should be ashamed of itself. The fate of the Fourth Amendment is now in the Senate’s hands. We can only hope senators will show more courage than their colleagues in the House." The ACLU is fighting back with a coalition called "STRANGE BEDFELLOWS". After hearing the House vote, The Brick TeeVee crew immediately began digging for important papers, like birth certificates, passports and other legal docs, fearing the worst.

Face the Bob is all-GOP with NEWT "Contract ON America" GINGRICH and Louisiana Guv BOOBY JINDAL. Wolfie also talks economics with advisors from the camps of BARAK OBAMA & JOHN "Crazy Train" MCCAIN. The price of a bushel of corn soared above $6 on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange last week, pushed higher by news that American farmers were planting less corn. Farmers planted a record 94 million acres of corn last year but the US Department of Agriculture forecasts only 86 million acres this year as farmers switch from corn to soya bean, another crop that is generating record profits. Expensive corn is hurting the livestock industry, which in turn will raise the price of meat, Rich Feltes, senior vice-president of commodity research for MF Global, said. “Hog producers are liquidating sows, the farmers are operating in the red,” he said.

For the first time in weeks tha White House cranks up its Sunday Morning Talkie Limo, but it's not who you think. Would you believe U.S. Treasury Secretary HENRY PAULSON? With OIL and GOLD setting records and the US (and world) economies going in the tank, who better that Hank Paulson to quell fears your greenbacks are being devalued daily as the Federal Reserve prints paper 24-7 to desparately fill the hole. Harper's Magazine's January 2008 cover story "The Next Bubble" explains,

"In a bubble, ficticious value goes away when market participants lose faith in their religion - when their false beliefs are destroyed as quickly as they had been formed.
