The Obstructionist Party sends out LINDSEY GRAHAM to This Guest Host, LAMAR ALEXANDER to FTN, JAMES CLYBURN on MTP, JOHN "Crybaby" BOEHNER on Candy Nation and ERIC CANTOR on False News to discuss the same talking points they've worn out for too long, no doubt citing the same tired "solutions" like the "magic hand of the free market", cross-state "competition", capping medical malpractice lawsuit awards and so forth while the hosts blithely let them stammer on without one bit of fact-checking on any of their claims. What they WON'T be discussing is Jay "Clean Coal" Rockefeller pushes to rein in EPA from the Washington Post: Sen. John D. Rockefeller (D-WVa.) will introduce legislation Thursday to impose a two-year moratorium on the Environmental Protection Agency's ability to regulate greenhouse gases from power plants and other stationary emitters, a move that could undermine the Obama administration's plan to pursue a cap on carbon emissions in the face of congressional opposition. Rockefeller's bill pdf, one of several recent congressional efforts to curb the EPA's authority to address climate change under the Clean Air Act, highlights the resistance the administration will face if it attempts to limit carbon dioxide through regulation. Obama and his top deputies have repeatedly said they would prefer for Congress to set mandatory, nationwide limits on greenhouse gas emissions, but the EPA is moving ahead with plans to do so if legislation fails to pass this year. "Today, we took important action to safeguard jobs, the coal industry, and the entire economy as we move toward clean coal technology," Rockefeller said. "This legislation will issue a two-year suspension on EPA regulation of greenhouse gases from stationary sources (aka COAL FIRED PLANTS! Not like MOBILE sources like coal-fired STEAM ENGINES! -Ed.) --giving Congress the time it needs (the time it needs for Big Coal to craft THEIR FAVORABLE LEGISLATION. -Ed.) to address an issue as complicated and expansive as our energy future. Plus we're also enjoying Indians Spring Training in the Cactus League where they lead the league in ERA with a spiffy 3.11 Of course, it's only Spring Training and this pitching staff has more question marks than answers with their slated Opening Day pitcher (Westbrook) who hasn't pitched in the bigs since 2008 and their No. 2 guy (Carmona) having spent most of 2009 in the LOW minors!
