Just when you thought it was safe to watch the Sunday Funnies again, it's DARTH CHENEY again, this time with U-Boat Captain Blitzer while NANCY PELOSI tries not to get too close to Darth. (We think these interviews are tapes of earlier appearances as CNN is "celebrating" Wolf before they change formats/hosts for Late Edition.) Then FAKE NEWS SUNDAY has the father-son duo of GEORGE 41 & GEORGE 43, so load up on those bricks! Face the Bob digs deep with ROLAND BURRIS and why he isn't a Senator yet, then asks DICK DURBIN the same question while Minority Leader JOHN "Crybaby" BOEHNER explains how the 7.2% unemployment rate can be fought with more tax cuts and off-shoring jobs, of course, with "bi-partisan support". Speaking of jobs, Meet the David gathers the NBC Economic Roundtable to tell us how THEY would fix the crumbling economy. Also, look for BILL "Hey hey hey!" COSBY with his new book and MAXINE WATERS, too. This Snufagupolis snags an exclusive with President-elect Obama for the whole hour where Obama reinforces "The U.S. is a strong ally of Israel". Meanwhile, death and destruction continue in Gaza. Looks like perhaps the U.S. knew of the Israeli operation several weeks ago: at Reuters AlertNet U.S. seeks ship to move arms to Israel (Hat Tip to SamSederShow.com board's Nora for the find!) "The U.S. is seeking to hire a merchant ship to deliver hundreds of tonnes of arms to Israel from Greece later this month, tender documents seen by Reuters show...The request for the ship was made on Dec. 31, with the first leg of the charter to arrive no later than January 25 and the second at the end of the month...The ship hired by the MSC [Military Sealift Command] in December was for a much larger cargo of arms, tender documents showed...The ship was requested early last month to load on December 15." It also mentions "989 standard 20-foot containers" and "325 standard 20-foot containers of what is listed as "ammunition" ". YIKES! Naomi Klein wrote about the Israeli Security bizness in The Nation in 2007. Check out Laboratory for a Fortressed World: "Overlooked is Israel’s huge and expanding export business. Israel now sends $1.2 billion in “defense” products to the United States—up dramatically from $270 million in 1999. In 2006 Israel exported $3.4 billion in defense products—well over a billion more than it received in US military aid. That makes Israel the fourth-largest arms dealer in the world, overtaking Britain." Huh. The Brick TeeVee crew has shaken off the Bowl Game stupor and donned snow suits and snow shovels to dig us out of the year's first Lake Effect snowfall of about a foot of the white stuff. Looks like we'll get a short break before the next system comes through and leaves us in single-digit temperatures! Only 43 days until Pitchers and Catchers report to Spring Training!
